Ember Mines is a free single-player browser game for adults 18 and over. FORTY units are fictional, have no cash value and cannot be bought, transferred or redeemed. There are no cash or physical prizes, deposits, wallets, withdrawals or payments.

Start with 1,000 simulated FORTY. Play 10, 20, 50 or 100 per round. Three mines are chosen uniformly among 25 tiles and fixed when the round starts. Open safe tiles, then collect a displayed total return after at least one safe choice. A mine ends the round at zero. All 22 safe tiles automatically settle that round; another round still requires your choice. The complete formula and table explain total returns, risk and whole-unit rounding.

Every tile is your choice. No automatic starts, hints, changing layouts, bonus tiles or refill. Balances and past results do not change the next layout. The theoretical average for fixed stopping counts is not a session guarantee, fairness audit or certification. End new rounds stops new starts for that session but leaves an accepted board available to finish.

After an interruption, use Check board before another action. Clearing the game cookie removes access. There is no cross-device account or FORTY transfer between games. Use a supported modern browser, take breaks and stop whenever you choose.
